Tea for Two @ White Rabbit Teahouse, Nottingham
12 Hounds Gate
Finally, a date with one of my favourite girls, Charmaine.
We decided that we both wanted to try out this really cute Teahouse in Nottingham's city centre. It's located in a small street off a busy street of shoppers.
The place wasn't hard to find but we were both glad we went to this place for tea. I'm not a tea person, but they do offer some floral teas and a coffee in replacement of English tea, so it was pretty much perfect for me.
The tea cups and teapot were gorgeous too and I found out that they actually take donations for old crockery, which just means that they may not have matching tea sets as such which gives an even better experience. The teaspoons that came with our teacups were all what I'd call : collectors' items, because they are from certain moments in English history, probably dating back almost 40 years ago!
The set up of the actual Teahouse itself is absolutely gorgeous, the colours are all pastels and neutrals giving a really cute girly feel. It isn't a big teahouse, it probably only really fits around 20 people, however the teahouse does offer outside catering, cakes made especially for weddings and events etc.
My friend and I ordered the "Tea for Two" this was served on the traditional tiered stand with cakes, English scones and sandwiches, along with the cups of tea, of which we chose Jasmine Flower.
The scones were probably the best part of the Tea for Two as the clotted cream was near to perfect!
The cakes were yummy, but a little too sweet.
Overall, tea at the White Rabbit is gorgeous, the atmosphere is quieter than your standard restaurant, but the service was fantastic. I can't fault it!
I will definitely be going here again!
