RODIAL - SUPER FIT SIZE ZERO REVIEW
This product caused quite a bit of a controversial stir when it was launched due to the name : SIZE ZERO.
Lots of people get quite upset over the subject of body shaming, especially when our bodies are compared to celebrities and models etc.
I've had a child and I'm now pregnant with my second, so my body has gone through a lot of changes, but I don't let the name of a product bother me. However, when I do see celebrity mothers in magazines with their flawless bodies, it does make me think : "Why can't that be me?", but it won't me, I'm just little old me.
I think, why should you let someone tell you what size you should be? Yes, it is hard to love ourselves when we are not confident or secure with what body shape or size we have, but why can't we learn to love what we have?
So yes, maybe Rodial has chosen the wrong name for their product, but why should the name affect us so much.
What I want to do in the review of this product is completely forget about the name and just look into the product as a body care product.
When I got this product, I knew it was not miraculously going to turn me into a size 0... It doesn't claim to turn you into a Victoria Secret's model, it is simply a moisturiser with toning properties, not weight loss properties.
In my opinion, most moisturisers DO have toning properties, if you spend about 5 minutes a day just moisturising your body, you are helping the blood circulation, therefore helping your body gain some form of elasticity.
The Super Fit Size Zero contains Pro-Sveltyl which aids the reduction of fat cells and tissue inflammation, this helps to drain water retention and help to reduce the appearance of cellulite.
I have been using this product for a few months now and cellulite is slowly disappearing. Since the birth of my first baby, quite a lot of cellulite appeared around my bum, especially underneath and a bit on my thighs, so I don't know if it is necessarily this product that has helped to reduce it, but I have seen a lot less.
I've tried skin firming products before, L'Oreal, Nivea, even Clarins, but I don't think they worked... They were good moisturisers, but that was about it.
The Super Fit Size Zero is a very good daily moisturiser, it has such a light and creamy texture and you don't feel sticky after using it. You don't have to smother yourself in it, just apply it like you would with any moisturiser.
It has a heavenly scent, if I could say it "smells yummy", then this smells delicious, or divine. This one has a rose-y, citrus-y scent, so you feel so fresh after applying it (and the scent lingers on your skin for hours after application).
HOW TO USE
Rodial actually advise you to use this on problem areas such as the thighs, the bum and those bingo wings... But, I like to go all out and cover every inch of my body.
After using this product, I feel so smooth and hydrated, even my husband noticed my skin got smoother!
- Apply Super Fit Size Zero (mainly in problem areas) in circular motions to help the blood circulation.
- Let skin absorb the product, and you're good to go
Super simple and easy to use, just like any day-to-day moisturiser, and as it smells amazing, you can even use it in the morning before you leave the house and you could probably skip out the perfume step!
As with any Rodial product, a hefty-ish price tag comes with this product.
The best bit? The moisturiser seems to help with reducing cellulite and helps you to gain some form of contours back in your body... Don't forget it leaves you feeling so soft, smooth and silky!
The worst? It costs £55... Yes, the tub contains 300ml worth of product, so it should last quite some time, but if you are going to use it as a daily moisturiser, it may not last THAT long.
I don't know how much this product helps in keeping you "toned" and "cellulite free", but since I started using it (a few months ago), the results seem to be visible... And don't forget, as I'm pregnant at the moment, there is no way I am getting skinnier... I am probably a cellulite magnet and definitely a fat and water retention magnet at the moment... But if cellulite is starting to disappear on my body, I wonder what it could do on yours!
£55 is a bit shocking for a daily moisturiser but if it seems to be working for me, I don't see why not...
I do have a little suggestion... If you're not ready to spend that much on this moisturiser, you can always give Nip & Fab a try.
They have various body care products, such as :
Nip & Fab is Rodial's sister brand, both founded by Maria Hatzistefanis (@MRSRODIAL).
The brand is available at some drugstores and the products are very similar to Rodial's, just without the high-end price tag.
So that's my secret I want to share with you today. If you really can't afford to buy Rodial's products, give Nip & Fab a try first, it's a lot cheaper for something made by the exactly the same company...
And, if you do end up loving Nip & Fab... You're going to be head over heels with Rodial. I can promise that.
